Before you install
Check that your roof is covered with plain tiles and measure the thickness of your existing tiles to confirm they do not exceed 14mm. Inspect the roof area where the window will be fitted to ensure the structure is sound and the roof deck is in good condition. You will need to remove tiles carefully in the installation area and have appropriate roof access equipment in place. If you are replacing an existing VELUX window, remove the old flashing completely before fitting this new kit.
