VELUX GGL PK06 3070 CENTRE PIVOT PINE

What you get and key features

This centre-pivot window opens by rotating 180 degrees around its horizontal centre axis, controlled from the top bar. The glazing includes safety lamination, toughened glass, a UV filter, and integrated rain noise reduction as standard. A removable and cleanable ventilation filter is supplied to protect against dust and insects while allowing fresh air circulation. The window can be opened to full ventilation position or held partially open via the top control bar, giving you flexibility without needing the sash fully extended.

  • Top control bar operation – easy to use even with furniture below
  • 180-degree rotation for safe internal cleaning of outer glass
  • Premium glazing with safety lamination, toughened glass, and UV filter
  • Integrated rain noise reduction
  • Removable ventilation filter included
  • Pre-fitted brackets for quick blind installation

Sizing and compatibility

The PK06 is a standard roof window size designed to fit common rafter spacings in UK properties. Confirm your roof pitch (typically 15 to 90 degrees) and measure the opening carefully before purchase. The pine frame is suitable for most roof types, but you will need to order the correct flashing kit separately for your specific roof covering – whether slate, tile, or other material. Check that your roof structure can support the window weight and that there is adequate headroom inside for safe operation.

  • PK06 size fits standard UK rafter spacings
  • Suitable for roof pitches from 15 to 90 degrees
  • Pine finish – order flashing kit separately for your roof type
  • Measure opening width and height before ordering

Installation and preparation

Installation should be carried out by a competent person or qualified installer familiar with roof window fitting. Before fitting, inspect the window frame and glazing for any damage in transit. Ensure the roof opening is square and level, and that the surrounding timber structure is sound and free from rot. The window must be properly sealed and flashed to prevent water ingress. Allow adequate working space above and below the window opening for safe installation. If you are adding blinds, note that the brackets are pre-fitted, so blinds can be clicked into place after installation.

  • Inspect for transit damage before installation
  • Ensure roof opening is square, level, and structurally sound
  • Install flashing kit correctly for your roof covering
  • Seal and weatherproof all joints to prevent water ingress
  • Pre-fitted blind brackets ready for quick attachment post-install

Maintenance and operation

The removable ventilation filter should be checked regularly and cleaned or replaced as needed to maintain airflow and protect against dust and insects. The 180-degree rotation feature allows you to safely clean the outer glass from inside without accessing the roof. The top control bar can be left in the ventilation position to allow fresh air circulation while the window remains closed, which is useful for continuous background ventilation. Ensure the pivot mechanism operates smoothly and check seals annually, particularly after winter.

  • Clean or replace the ventilation filter regularly
  • Use 180-degree rotation for safe external glass cleaning
  • Operate top control bar to ventilation position for fresh air without full opening
  • Check pivot mechanism and seals annually
