The top control bar operation means you can install it lower than traditional roof windows while maintaining good sightlines. It works well in properties where natural light and ventilation are priorities but floor space is limited.

Sizing and compatibility
The MK08 size is 78cm wide by 140cm tall. This is a standard VELUX roof window size, so it will fit standard MK08 roof openings. Before ordering, confirm your roof opening dimensions match exactly. The window is supplied in white painted finish, which is the standard factory colour. Check your roof pitch is suitable for roof window installation, typically between 15 and 90 degrees.

What is included and glazing features
The window arrives fully glazed and ready to install. Standard glazing includes safety lamination on the inner pane, toughened outer glass, integrated UV filter, and rain noise reduction technology. A removable and cleanable ventilation filter is supplied to protect against dust and insects while allowing air circulation. The top control bar can be opened to a ventilation position for fresh air without fully opening the window.

Pre-installation checks and preparation
Before fixing, inspect the window for any transport damage and confirm the roof opening dimensions match the MK08 size specification. Check that your roof structure is sound and the opening is square and level. Ensure you have appropriate flashing kit for your roof covering type, as this is not included with the window. Have blinds brackets pre-fitted if you plan to add blinds, as these click into place on the supplied brackets. Clear the roof space of debris and ensure safe access for installation.
