What you get and compatibility
This is a complete roof window unit in white painted finish, sized UK04 (134x98cm), designed to fit standard UK rafter spacings. The glazing package includes safety lamination, toughened glass, UV filter, anti-dew coating and rain noise reduction as standard. A removable and cleanable ventilation filter is included to protect against dust and insects. The window frame accepts VELUX blinds via a simple click-fit system, allowing you to add light control later if needed.

Installation and preparation
Installation requires careful measurement of your rafter spacing to confirm UK04 size is correct. The window must be fitted into a prepared opening with appropriate flashing kit (sold separately) to weatherproof the installation. You will need to ensure adequate structural support and follow VELUX installation instructions precisely. Professional installation is recommended unless you have experience with roof window fitting. Pre-installation checks should confirm rafter spacing, roof pitch suitability, and that the opening has been properly prepared to receive the window frame.

Operation and maintenance
The top control bar is your main operating feature. Push it outward to open the top section for ventilation without fully opening the window – ideal when you want fresh air but have furniture underneath. For full opening, continue pushing the bar until the sash rotates to the fully open position. The 180-degree rotation capability means you can safely clean the outside of the glass from inside the room. The removable ventilation filter should be checked regularly and cleaned or replaced as needed to maintain airflow and protect against dust and insects.
