What this product is and who needs it

This is a dual-function flashing designed specifically for VELUX SK06 roof windows on pitched roofs. You need this product if you are installing two SK06 windows next to each other on the same roof slope, or if you are installing one SK06 window alongside another roof penetration. The flashing bridges the gap between the window frame and the roof covering, keeping water out and maintaining the integrity of your roof seal. It is not suitable for single-window installations or for window sizes other than SK06 format.

Compatibility and sizing

This flashing is sized exclusively for VELUX SK06 window format at 114x118cm. Before ordering, confirm that your roof windows are SK06 size and that you are installing either two windows side by side or one window with a compatible secondary penetration. Check your window documentation or product labels to verify the SK06 designation. This flashing will not fit other VELUX window sizes such as SK04, SK08, or SK10.

Pre-installation checks and preparation

You receive one pre-formed flashing unit sized 114x118cm. The flashing arrives ready to fit; no assembly is required. Once delivered, store it flat and dry until installation. When you are ready to fit, follow VELUX installation guidance for your specific roof covering type, as tile and slate installations differ slightly. The pre-formed profile is designed to minimise cutting, but you may need to trim roof covering around the edges to achieve a neat finish. Ensure all joints are sealed with appropriate roofing sealant to maintain weathertightness.
