VELUX EDL MK04 2000 Pro+ Standard Flashings W/ Installation Products 78x98cm
Suitable applications and installation location
These standard flashings are intended for pitched roof installations where a VELUX EDL MK04 2000 Pro+ rooflight is being fitted into timber-framed roof structures. The flashings create the critical weather-tight seal between the rooflight frame and the roof opening, preventing water ingress around the perimeter. They are suitable for use on roofs with timber grades F16, F24 and F36, and accommodate openings up to 78cm wide by 98cm long. Choose the finish colour (white, grey or other available options) to complement your existing roofing materials and aesthetic requirements.

Installation and on-site use
The flashing kit includes all necessary installation products required for a complete fit. Ensure the roof opening dimensions do not exceed the maximum size of 78cm wide by 98cm long before ordering. Verify that your roof timber structure is graded F16, F24 or F36 as specified. Install the flashing around the rooflight perimeter according to the manufacturer's instructions included with the kit, ensuring the weather-tight seal is properly formed. The flashing must be correctly positioned and secured to prevent water penetration at the roof interface.
- Check roof opening size against maximum dimensions before installation
- Confirm timber grade compatibility with your roof structure
- Follow manufacturer's installation instructions provided in kit
- Ensure weather-tight seal is properly formed around entire perimeter
- All installation products are included in the kit
Maintenance and durability
Once installed, the flashing requires periodic inspection to maintain the weather-tight seal. Check the flashing and surrounding roof area after severe weather or seasonal changes to ensure no water ingress has occurred around the rooflight perimeter. Keep the flashing clear of debris, moss and lichen growth which can compromise the seal. The finish colour you select will influence maintenance requirements; lighter finishes may require more frequent cleaning to maintain appearance. Address any gaps or damage to the flashing immediately to prevent water damage to the roof structure and interior.
- Inspect flashing regularly for signs of water ingress or damage
- Clear debris and organic growth from flashing and roof interface
- Address any gaps or deterioration promptly
- Maintenance requirements vary by finish colour selected
