Maintenance and weather protection

Once installed, the flashing provides a secure seal against weather ingress around the rooflight perimeter. Periodically inspect the flashing and perimeter seal, particularly after severe weather, to ensure no gaps or damage have developed. Clear any debris, moss, or leaves from the flashing surface and surrounding roof area to maintain effective water drainage. Do not attempt to modify or cut the flashing, as this will compromise the weathertight seal. If damage is observed or the seal fails, the flashing should be replaced to prevent water ingress into the building.

  • Inspect perimeter seal regularly for gaps or damage
  • Clear debris and leaves from flashing surface
  • Maintain clear water drainage around rooflight
  • Do not modify or cut the flashing
  • Replace if damage or seal failure occurs
