Suitable applications and roof pitches
These flashings are designed specifically for timber frame roofs where penetrations occur, such as around chimneys, roof vents and skylights. The 78 x 118cm size accommodates standard roof applications. The flashing is rated for roof pitches between 30 and 60 degrees only. Do not use on roofs outside this pitch range, as water shedding performance cannot be guaranteed on shallower or steeper slopes. Always verify your roof pitch before ordering to ensure compatibility.

Installation and positioning
Install the flashing so that it sits securely around the roof penetration, with the upper edge positioned beneath the roof covering above and the lower edge overlapping the roof covering below. This overlap arrangement ensures water runs down and away from the penetration point. The flashing must be fixed firmly to the timber frame to prevent movement or lifting in wind. Ensure all edges are sealed appropriately to create a complete weather barrier. The timber grade EKL and S0122 finish provide durability, but correct installation is essential for long-term performance.

Maintenance and durability
