Fixing and buying guide
VELUX Twin and Combination Flashings 94x140cm EKL PK08 S0222
Who this product is for
This flashing is for builders, roofers, and experienced DIY installers fitting dual VELUX roof window configurations on pitched roofs. It suits projects where two PK08 windows are positioned side by side or in combination arrangements. If you are installing a single window, you will need standard single-window flashings instead. This product is not suitable for flat roof applications.
Compatibility and sizing
The EKL PK08 S0222 is sized specifically for VELUX PK08 windows with a 940×1400mm aperture. Before ordering, confirm that both your windows are PK08 size and that your roof pitch falls within the standard range for tile and slate roofs. Check your existing window documentation or measure the aperture opening to verify compatibility. This flashing will not fit other VELUX window sizes such as PK06 or PK10.
- Aperture size: 940×1400mm (PK08 only)
- Roof type: Pitched roofs with tile or slate
- Configuration: Twin or combination window installations
- Material: Aluminium and polymer composite
What is included and pre-installation checks
The EKL PK08 S0222 is a complete twin and combination flashing unit that integrates both upper and lower flashing functions. Before installation, inspect the flashing for any damage or defects. Ensure your roof structure is sound, the aperture opening is correctly sized at 940×1400mm, and the roof pitch is suitable for standard tile or slate coverage. Check that both windows are properly framed and ready for flashing installation. Have all necessary fixings and sealants to hand before beginning work.
- Integrated upper and lower flashing in one unit
- Reduces installation steps compared to separate flashings
- Minimises material waste and thermal bridging
- Verify aperture dimensions and roof pitch before fitting
Installation and fixing
Install the flashing according to VELUX technical guidance, ensuring the upper section sits correctly above the roof tiles or slates and the lower section sits below them. The integrated design simplifies the weatherproofing process by combining both functions in a single operation. Secure the flashing using appropriate fixings for your roof type, and apply sealant to all joints to maintain water shedding performance. Ensure consistent alignment with both windows to maintain thermal performance and prevent water ingress. If you are unfamiliar with roof window flashing installation, consult VELUX installation instructions or engage a qualified roofer.
