Suitable applications and roof types
These flashings are designed for pitched roofs with slopes between 30° and 60°. They are commonly used to weatherproof roof penetrations such as windows, vents, or other openings where a secure seal against wind-driven rain and snow is critical. The flashings are compatible with timber structural grades F16, F24, and F36, covering most domestic and light commercial roofing projects. They perform well in exposed locations subject to severe weather exposure.

Installation and positioning
Position the flashing so that the upper edge sits under the roof covering above the penetration and the lower edge sits over the roof covering below. Ensure the flashing is centred on the penetration opening and aligned square to the roof pitch. The 94cm length and 160cm width accommodate standard roof penetration sizes. Secure the flashing firmly to the timber framing using appropriate fixings, ensuring no gaps remain between the flashing and the roof surface. Pay particular attention to sealing the upper edge where water run-off is heaviest.

Limitations and roof pitch requirements
These flashings are engineered specifically for roof pitches between 30° and 60°. Do not use on roofs outside this pitch range, as the flashing design and water shedding performance are optimised for this slope. Steeper pitches may cause water to run off too quickly without proper sealing, whilst shallower pitches risk water pooling and penetration. Always verify your roof pitch before installation. The vinyl-coated polyester material is durable but should not be subjected to mechanical damage during handling or installation.

Maintenance and on-site care
After installation, inspect the flashing regularly to ensure all seals remain intact and no debris has accumulated around the penetration. The vinyl-coated polyester finish is designed to withstand harsh weather without degradation, but check for any cracks, splits, or separation from the roof surface, particularly after severe storms or heavy snow loading. Keep gutters and roof surfaces clear of leaves and debris to prevent water damming. If damage is detected, repair or replace the flashing promptly to maintain weathertightness. Store flashings flat and protected from weather before installation.
