Installation and positioning
Position the flashing around the roof penetration so that the upper edge sits beneath the roof covering above the opening, allowing water to run down over the flashing surface. The flashing must be secured firmly to the roof structure and the penetration frame to prevent movement and maintain the watertight seal. Ensure the vinyl-coated polyester material lies flat without creases or folds that could trap water. The 0.8mm thickness provides adequate rigidity for hand-forming around the penetration whilst remaining flexible enough to accommodate minor roof irregularities.
