Typical applications and roof types
This twin flashing is intended for pitched roofs finished with clay tiles, concrete tiles, or natural slate. It is specifically engineered for installations where two VELUX roof windows are positioned side by side with a 100mm gap between them. The flashing accommodates standard tile and slate profiles up to 120mm in height, making it suitable for most domestic and light commercial roof applications. It is not suitable for flat roofs, metal roofing, or roofs with tile profiles exceeding 120mm.

Installation and fitting
The prefabricated design means the flashing arrives ready to install, with all weatherproofing elements integrated. Position the flashing over the two roof window frames so that it bridges the 100mm gap between them. Ensure the flashing sits correctly on the tile or slate profile, with the upper edge tucked under the roof covering above and the lower edge overlapping the tiles below. Secure the flashing according to VELUX installation instructions, typically using stainless steel fixings. The overall dimensions of 114cm by 118cm are calculated to accommodate standard SK06 window sizes with the specified gap; do not attempt to use this flashing for windows with different spacing or frame sizes.

Limitations and on-site considerations
This flashing is designed specifically for a 100mm gap between windows; it cannot be used if windows are spaced differently. It is not suitable for roof pitches with tile or slate profiles taller than 120mm, as the flashing will not sit correctly and weathertightness cannot be guaranteed. The EKW SK06 0021E is a twin or coupled configuration; if you require three, four, or more adjacent windows, VELUX offers triple, duo, and quatro configurations that must be ordered separately. Ensure the roof structure can support the combined weight of two windows and the flashing before installation.
