Timber and roof compatibility

These flashings are compatible with structural timber grades F16, F24, F32 and F36, which cover the vast majority of UK domestic and commercial roof construction. The flashings can be installed on roofs pitched up to 30 degrees. If your roof pitch exceeds 30 degrees or you are using timber of a different grade, you will need alternative flashing products.

Pre-installation checks

Before opening the flashing pack, confirm that your roof aperture is cut to the correct size (114 x 70cm) and that the surrounding timber structure is sound and level. Ensure the roof pitch does not exceed 30 degrees and that your structural timber grade is F16, F24, F32 or F36. Check that weather conditions are suitable for installation and that you have adequate access and safety equipment in place.
