38 x 138MM (30 x 132mm) FIRE CERTIFIED DOOR LINING SET WITH STOPS AND 15 X 4MM GROOVE 2'6"/2'9"
What's included and sizing
This is a complete lining set, meaning it contains all frame components ready for installation. The set comes with stops already fitted, eliminating the need to purchase and fit separate stop beads. The 15 x 4mm groove is pre-machined into the frame to receive the door edge, ensuring proper alignment and a professional finish. Choose 2'6" (762mm) for standard ceiling heights or 2'9" (838mm) for taller openings. Measure your rough opening height carefully before ordering to ensure the correct size.

Who this is for
This product is intended for builders, contractors, and experienced DIY installers working on internal door installations where fire safety certification is required or specified. It is commonly used in new builds, renovations, and refurbishments where building regulations demand fire-rated components. The pre-assembled nature with stops and groove makes it faster to install than separate components, reducing on-site labour time.
Compatibility and preparation
Ensure your rough opening is square and plumb before installation. The frame is designed for standard internal doors that will sit in the pre-machined groove. Check that your door leaf dimensions are compatible with the groove depth and width (15 x 4mm). The fire certification applies only when the frame is installed correctly and paired with an approved fire-rated door leaf and hardware. Verify with your building control or architect that this specific lining set meets the fire rating requirement for your project location.
- Rough opening must be square and plumb
- Suitable for standard internal door leaves
- Fire rating valid only with certified door and correct installation
- Check building regulations for your application
Installation notes
Install the lining set into the prepared opening using appropriate fixings for your wall type (timber, brick, or block). The integrated stops eliminate the need for additional stop beads, speeding up the hanging process. Once the frame is secure and level, the pre-grooved edge is ready to receive the door leaf. Ensure the frame is not twisted or racked during installation, as this will affect door operation and compromise the fire seal. Allow any plaster or filler around the frame to cure fully before hanging the door.
