Glasroc F MultiBoard 2400 X 1200 X 6MM SE

What is Glasroc F MultiBoard and who is it for

Glasroc F MultiBoard is a glass-reinforced gypsum plasterboard that delivers non-combustible performance with practical installation benefits. It is designed for professional builders, contractors, and serious DIY users working on projects where fire safety and impact resistance are essential. The board's enhanced moisture tolerance makes it particularly suitable for use in semi-exposed areas during construction, before the building envelope is fully complete, reducing project timescales and associated costs on larger builds.

  • Non-combustible construction with Class A1 and Class 0 fire ratings
  • High impact resistance for durable internal and semi-exposed use
  • Enhanced moisture-resistant performance for challenging environments
  • Suitable for partitions, ceilings, and curved applications

Sizing and pack contents

This board measures 2400 mm length by 1200 mm width with a 6 mm thickness. The standard sheet size makes it straightforward to handle and position, whilst the 6 mm profile offers a balance between structural performance and ease of installation. Each board is supplied as a single sheet.

  • Dimensions: 2400 x 1200 x 6 mm
  • Single sheet per pack
  • Suitable for both large-area coverage and detailed partition work

Installation and compatibility

Glasroc F MultiBoard is designed for quick and simple installation on timber or metal stud framing systems. Its versatility allows use in a wide range of applications including straight partitions, ceiling systems, and curved installations. The board can be cut and shaped on site using standard tools. Ensure framing is properly spaced and level before fixing, and use appropriate fixings for your substrate type. The non-combustible nature of the board makes it compatible with fire-rated partition and ceiling systems.

  • Compatible with timber and metal stud framing
  • Suitable for straight and curved applications
  • Can be cut and shaped using standard site tools
  • Use appropriate fixings for your specific substrate

Pre-installation checks

Before installation, inspect the board for any damage to edges or faces. Ensure your framing is square, level, and properly spaced according to your system design and local building regulations. Check that the building environment is suitable for installation, particularly in semi-exposed areas where the board's moisture tolerance is an advantage. Confirm that all fixings and adhesives are compatible with glass-reinforced gypsum plasterboard. Allow the board to acclimatise to site conditions for 24 hours before fixing if it has been stored in significantly different temperature or humidity conditions.

  • Inspect board for damage before installation
  • Verify framing is square, level, and correctly spaced
  • Confirm fixings and adhesives are compatible with the product
  • Allow acclimatisation time if stored in different conditions
