Thistle Hardwall 25Kg Per Bag

What it is and who it is for

Thistle HardWall is an undercoat plaster with enhanced impact resistance. It is intended for professional plasterers and competent DIY users preparing internal masonry surfaces for finishing. The product is particularly useful in commercial settings, hallways, and other areas where walls may experience impact damage. It is not suitable as a finish coat and must be topped with a finishing plaster.

  • Undercoat plaster for internal use only
  • High impact resistance formulation
  • Quick-drying properties reduce project timescales
  • Suitable for trade and experienced DIY application

Compatibility and suitable backgrounds

Thistle HardWall is formulated for application to most common masonry backgrounds found in UK construction. It bonds effectively to brick, medium-density blocks, and aircrete blocks. The plaster is designed as part of a two-coat system, meaning it must be followed by an appropriate finishing coat. Ensure background surfaces are sound, clean, and free from loose material before application.

  • Suitable for brick masonry
  • Compatible with medium-density concrete blocks
  • Compatible with aircrete blocks
  • Use as undercoat only in two-coat plaster systems
  • Requires sound, clean background surfaces

Pack contents and coverage

Each bag contains 25kg of Thistle HardWall plaster. When mixed to the correct consistency, coverage will depend on background porosity, application method, and coat thickness. Hand application and spray application may yield different coverage rates. Always refer to the product technical data sheet for specific coverage calculations based on your wall condition and intended thickness.

  • Single bag contains 25kg of plaster
  • Coverage varies by application method and background
  • Check technical data for your specific project requirements
