What this product is for
Thistle MultiFinish is a one-coat finishing plaster that creates a smooth, decorative surface. It can be applied directly over plasterboard or over existing undercoat plasters to achieve a professional finish ready for decoration. Choosing the right quantity
Each bag contains 25kg of Thistle MultiFinish. Coverage depends on the background condition and application thickness. Since this product is applied at a fixed 2mm thickness, you should measure your total wall or ceiling area in square metres and consult coverage rates or your supplier's calculator to determine how many bags you need. Factor in some waste for mixing and application practice, particularly if you are less experienced.

Preparation and application
Before applying Thistle MultiFinish, ensure your background is clean, dry, and properly prepared. Plasterboard should be primed with a suitable primer to ensure even suction and consistent finish. Any existing undercoat plaster must be sound and free from loose material. Mix the powder with clean water to a smooth, workable consistency and apply at exactly 2mm thickness using a steel trowel. The 1.5 hour setting time gives you a reasonable working window, but work methodically to maintain consistency across large areas.

Storage and safety
Store Thistle MultiFinish in a dry location away from moisture and damp. Keep bags sealed until use to prevent the powder absorbing moisture from the air. Follow the manufacturer's safety guidance when mixing and applying, including adequate ventilation and appropriate personal protective equipment. Do not apply in freezing conditions or on frozen backgrounds.
