What this product is for
This fire plasterboard is engineered specifically for non-loadbearing partition construction, wall linings and ceiling systems where fire resistance is essential. It is not suitable for loadbearing applications. Use it in commercial buildings, escape routes, stairwells and other areas where building regulations demand enhanced fire performance. The Type DF classification to EN 520 confirms its suitability for these demanding applications.

Compatibility and system requirements
This 12.5mm board is designed for use in metal stud partition systems and timber frame construction. For optimal fire performance, follow the system specifications that have been tested and certified to EN 520. The square edge format allows for standard butt jointing. Ensure your partition framework is properly spaced and secured according to the relevant fire-rated system design. Check with your architect or building control that your intended application meets the fire rating requirements of your project.

Sizing and pack contents
Each sheet measures 1800mm length by 900mm width by 12.5mm thickness. This standard format is designed for efficient coverage and minimal waste. Calculate your area requirements and allow for cutting and waste on site. The square edge profile means joints will require taping and jointing compound for a finished appearance.

Pre-installation checks
Before fixing, inspect all sheets for damage in transit and store them flat and dry on site. Ensure your partition framework is square, level and properly braced. Confirm that your fixing system (screws or nails) is appropriate for fire-rated applications and that spacing complies with the tested system design. Check that environmental conditions on site are suitable for plasterboard installation, with adequate ventilation and reasonable temperature and humidity levels. Do not install if the site is excessively damp.
