Siniat Moisture Plasterboard 2400mm x 1200mm x 12.5mm TE (60)

Who this product is for

Siniat Moisture Plasterboard is essential for any wet or humid internal environment where standard plasterboard would be at risk of deterioration. It is commonly specified in bathrooms, en-suites, shower rooms, kitchens, utility rooms and any other areas where steam, condensation or splash exposure is expected. It is suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects, and is appropriate for trade installers and experienced DIY users familiar with plasterboard fixing techniques.

  • Bathrooms and shower rooms
  • Kitchens and cooking areas
  • Utility rooms and laundries
  • Any internal wall or ceiling in high-humidity zones

Sizing and pack contents

Each sheet measures 2400mm x 1200mm x 12.5mm thickness. The TE (60) designation indicates this is a tapered edge board with a 60-sheet pack. This standard sheet size is designed to fit between studs at 600mm centres, minimising waste on typical timber frame construction. Confirm your wall or ceiling dimensions before ordering to calculate the number of sheets required, accounting for any cuts or waste.

  • Sheet dimensions: 2400mm length x 1200mm width x 12.5mm thickness
  • Pack size: 60 sheets per pack
  • Tapered edge profile for seamless jointing
  • Weight per sheet approximately 18kg (confirm with supplier for handling)

Compatibility and fixing

Siniat Moisture Plasterboard is fixed using standard plasterboard techniques. It is compatible with timber stud framing at 600mm centres and metal stud systems. Fix using plasterboard screws or nails at the spacing recommended by your building control or specification. The tapered edge profile allows for conventional joint compound finishing. Ensure all fixings are countersunk slightly below the board surface to allow for finishing. The moisture resistant properties are effective only when the board is properly sealed and finished with appropriate joint tape, compound and paint or other vapour-resistant finishes.

  • Compatible with timber and metal stud framing
  • Fix at 600mm centres using plasterboard screws or nails
  • Tapered edges for standard jointing with compound and tape
  • Moisture resistance requires proper finishing and sealing

Pre-installation checks

Before fixing, inspect all sheets for damage, dents or water ingress during delivery and storage. Store boards flat and dry on site, protected from weather and moisture. Ensure the building structure is sound and any external damp issues are resolved before installation, as plasterboard alone cannot remedy structural moisture problems. Confirm that your stud spacing, ceiling height and opening dimensions are correct before cutting. Check that you have adequate fixings and finishing materials (screws, joint tape, compound) to complete the job. Allow the building to reach normal humidity levels before final decoration.

  • Inspect sheets on delivery for damage
  • Store flat, dry and protected from weather
  • Resolve any structural damp before installation
  • Verify stud spacing and dimensions before cutting
  • Ensure adequate fixings and finishing materials are available
