Siniat Standard Plasterboard 2400mm x 1200mm x 12.5mm SE (72)
What this product is for
Standard plasterboard is the industry standard for creating internal partitions, lining existing walls, and forming suspended ceilings. The 12.5mm thickness is ideal for stud partition walls, cavity wall linings, and ceiling applications where fire performance and acoustic properties are not the primary concern. It can be finished by either taping and jointing the joints with filler, or by applying a skim coat of finishing plaster directly over the surface.
- Internal partition walls on timber or metal studs
- Wall linings over masonry or timber
- Suspended ceiling systems
- General refurbishment and new build projects

- Single sheet area: 2.88 square metres
- Total pack coverage: 207.36 square metres
- Sheet weight: approximately 23kg per sheet
- Pallet format for ease of handling and delivery
Compatibility and fixing
These boards feature square edges and are designed to work with standard timber or metal stud framing at 400mm or 600mm centres. The square edge profile means joints will require taping and jointing compound for a seamless finish, or can be skimmed over with finishing plaster. Boards should be fixed with galvanised or drywall screws at approximately 300mm centres on studs and 150mm on ceiling joists.
- Compatible with 50mm and 75mm timber studs
- Works with metal stud systems
- Requires taping and jointing or skimming for finishing
- Fix with drywall screws or galvanised nails
Pre-installation checks
Before fixing, ensure your stud framework is square, level and properly spaced. Plasterboard should be stored flat and kept dry on site, as moisture will affect performance and workability. Check that all studs are at the correct centres and that any services (electrics, plumbing) are installed before boarding. Allow the board to acclimatise to site conditions for 24 hours before fixing if it has been stored in cold or damp conditions.
- Verify stud spacing is correct (400mm or 600mm centres)
- Ensure framework is square and level
- Keep boards dry and store flat
- Install all services before boarding begins
