Typical applications
This standard plasterboard is ideal for internal drylining work across residential and commercial projects. Use it for stud partition walls, dry lining existing masonry walls, and suspended ceiling systems. The square-edged format makes it particularly suitable where you intend to apply gypsum plaster finish or textured coatings rather than tape and joint finishing.

Installation and fixing
Install boards with the square edges running horizontally or vertically depending on your stud layout and site conditions. Boards should be fixed perpendicular to studs or joists at 300mm centres using drywall screws or nails. Ensure studs or joists are properly spaced and level before fixing. Leave a small gap around perimeter edges to allow for minor movement. Stagger joints between adjacent boards to avoid continuous lines running across the wall or ceiling.

Finishing and limitations
The square-edged format is designed for plaster finish or textured coating applications rather than tape and joint systems. Apply gypsum plaster directly to the board surface following plaster manufacturer's instructions, or apply textured finishes as required. For undecorated finishes, ensure the board surface is clean and properly prepared. This board provides standard fire, structural and acoustic performance; if enhanced performance is required in these areas, specify alternative products. The 12.5mm thickness is suitable for standard stud spacing and ceiling applications but check structural requirements for your specific project.

On-site handling and storage
Store boards flat and dry on a level surface, protected from weather and moisture. Keep boards indoors for at least 48 hours before installation to allow them to acclimatise to site conditions. Handle carefully to avoid damage to edges and corners, as the square-edged format leaves edges exposed. Ensure the installation area is adequately ventilated and dry before fixing boards, as moisture can affect performance and finishing quality. Protect completed work from water ingress until final decoration is applied.
