Siniat Universal Bonding Drywall Adhesive 25Kg Bag
What this product is for
This adhesive is used for two main applications: bonding plasterboard directly to masonry walls without the need for a stud frame, and securing Siniat Metal Furring Wall Channels to walls as a base for subsequent boarding. It is ideal for straightforward wall lining projects where you want to avoid traditional timber or metal stud systems, or where you need to create a service cavity for pipes and cables.
- Direct plasterboard bonding to masonry
- Fixing metal furring channels to walls
- Creating service cavities up to 25mm depth
- Suitable for walls with minor surface irregularities
Substrate compatibility and preparation
The adhesive bonds to the majority of masonry substrates including brick, block, and concrete. Before application, ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and free from loose material, dust, and contaminants. Any significant surface irregularities should be addressed beforehand, though the product is capable of accommodating nominal background variations. Check that the wall is structurally sound and that any damp issues have been resolved.
- Compatible with brick, block, and concrete
- Wall must be clean and dry
- Remove loose material and dust
- Repair significant defects before bonding
Mixing and application
The adhesive is easy to mix on site and is applied in dabs directly to the wall or to the back of plasterboard. The dab method allows quick application and provides working time for adjustment of boards during installation. This flexibility is particularly useful when achieving plumb and level, as boards can be repositioned slightly before the adhesive sets. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing ratios and working times.
- Mix on site according to instructions
- Apply in dabs to wall or board back
- Allows board adjustment during installation
- Quick application method
Pack contents and coverage
This product is supplied in a single 25kg bag. Coverage will depend on wall condition, dab spacing, and board size, so calculate your requirements based on the wall area to be covered and the number of boards needed. Order sufficient bags to complete your project, accounting for waste and any remedial work.
