Rigid PIR Insulation 1200 x 2400 x 75mm

What this product is and who it is for

This is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam insulation board with foil facing on both sides. It is designed for builders, contractors and serious DIY customers undertaking new build, refurbishment or retrofit projects. The product is suitable for installation in floors, walls and roof applications where thermal performance and vapour control are required. BBA backing provides assurance of product quality and performance.

Sizing, pack contents and board format

Each board measures 1200 x 2400 x 75mm. This standard format is sized to reduce cutting waste and simplify handling on site. Confirm the number of boards required by calculating your total insulation area and accounting for any edge losses or overlaps specific to your application. Check your delivery address and access before ordering to ensure boards can be safely unloaded and stored.

  • Board dimensions: 1200 x 2400 x 75mm
  • Thickness: 75mm suitable for most wall, floor and roof build-ups
  • Foil facing both sides aids handling and provides vapour control
  • Lightweight rigid foam for straightforward manual handling

Thermal and structural performance

The board delivers a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, meeting specification requirements for building fabric upgrades. Compressive strength of 175 kPa makes this product suitable for floor, wall and roof applications where load-bearing or structural support is required. Confirm these performance figures meet your building design and local building regulations before installation.

  • Thermal conductivity: 0.022 W/mK
  • Compressive strength: 175 kPa
  • Foil facing supports vapour control in mixed-use applications
  • Suitable for new build and retrofit projects

Pre-installation checks and fixing preparation

Before installation, inspect boards for damage and ensure the substrate is clean, dry, level and free from debris. Check that the application (floor, wall or roof) is compatible with PIR insulation and that any vapour control layer requirements are understood. Confirm fixing methods and adhesives are appropriate for your specific application and substrate type. Store boards flat and protected from weather until installation. Ensure adequate ventilation during and after installation, and follow the manufacturer's guidance for any specific application requirements.

  • Inspect boards on delivery for damage or defects
  • Ensure substrate is clean, dry and level before fixing
  • Confirm fixing method and adhesive compatibility with your application
  • Store boards flat and protected from weather
  • Follow manufacturer guidance for vapour control and ventilation requirements
