This cavity wall batt is intended for builders, contractors, and serious DIY customers installing insulation in new external masonry cavity walls. It is suitable for both full cavity fill and partial fill applications where standard wall tie spacing is used.

Each pack contains cavity wall batts measuring 150mm thick, 1350mm long, and 455mm wide, providing 2.46 square metres of coverage per pack. The 455mm width is engineered to fit friction-tight between standard vertical wall tie spacings, reducing the need for cutting and minimising material waste on site.

Compatibility and installation

Pre-installation checks

Before installation, verify that your cavity wall construction uses standard vertical wall tie spacing that accommodates the 455mm batt width. Check that the cavity depth is suitable for 150mm thickness insulation. Ensure the wall is dry and ready to receive insulation. Calculate the total area to be insulated and order sufficient packs, allowing for any partial fill sections. Store batts in dry conditions prior to installation.
