URSA 35 Cavity Wall Batt (0.035W/mK) 150mm X 1350MM X 455MM - 2.46 Sq Mtr Per Pack

Who this product is for

This cavity wall batt is intended for builders, contractors, and serious DIY customers installing insulation in new external masonry cavity walls. It is suitable for both full cavity fill and partial fill applications where standard wall tie spacing is used.

Pack contents and coverage

Each pack contains cavity wall batts measuring 150mm thick, 1350mm long, and 455mm wide, providing 2.46 square metres of coverage per pack. The 455mm width is engineered to fit friction-tight between standard vertical wall tie spacings, reducing the need for cutting and minimising material waste on site.

  • Thickness: 150mm
  • Length: 1350mm
  • Width: 455mm (designed for standard wall tie spacing)
  • Coverage per pack: 2.46 square metres
  • Thermal conductivity: 0.035W/mK

Compatibility and installation

The batt is designed for friction fitting between vertical wall ties in cavity wall construction. Its 455mm width aligns with standard wall tie spacings, allowing the product to be positioned without cutting in most applications. The flexible nature of the batt makes it easy to handle and position during installation. Ensure wall ties are properly spaced before ordering to confirm compatibility.

  • Suitable for full or partial cavity fill applications
  • Friction-fit design between standard vertical wall ties
  • Non-combustible classification
  • Water-repellent additive for moisture resistance
  • BBA approved

Pre-installation checks

Before installation, verify that your cavity wall construction uses standard vertical wall tie spacing that accommodates the 455mm batt width. Check that the cavity depth is suitable for 150mm thickness insulation. Ensure the wall is dry and ready to receive insulation. Calculate the total area to be insulated and order sufficient packs, allowing for any partial fill sections. Store batts in dry conditions prior to installation.
