3.0Mtr X 47 X 50mm Treated Regularised KD Carcassing Timber

Strength grade and specification

This timber is strength-graded to C24 standard, which provides superior load-bearing performance compared to lower grades. The 47×50mm section is a common size for floor joists, roof battens, and stud walls in residential and light commercial construction. The regularised profile ensures consistent dimensions across the length, reducing fitting issues on site.

  • C24 grade delivers enhanced stability and improved strength with fewer defects
  • Regularised finish provides a smooth, planed surface
  • Consistent 47×50mm section throughout the 3.0m length
  • Meets current BS EN standards for structural timberwork

Pressure treatment and durability

The timber is pressure-treated with preservative to protect against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack. This treatment extends the service life of the timber in both indoor and outdoor environments, making it suitable for applications where moisture exposure is a concern.

  • Protects against rot and fungal decay
  • Resists insect attack
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Extends timber lifespan in damp conditions

Ordering and storage

Order by linear metres based on your project requirements. Store the timber in a dry location, ideally off the ground on bearers to allow air circulation. Keep treated timber away from prolonged direct contact with soil or standing water, even though it is pressure-treated.

  • Calculate linear metres needed for your application
  • Store off the ground on level bearers
  • Keep in a dry, well-ventilated location
  • Protect from prolonged water contact during storage
