Typical applications and installation

Installation is straightforward: measure and mark your cutting line, cut to length using a fine-toothed saw or circular saw, and fix in place using wood adhesive, panel pins or screws depending on your application. Moisture resistance and bathroom/kitchen use
The primed moisture resistant coating provides protection against humidity and moisture ingress, making this profile suitable for installation in bathrooms, kitchens and other damp areas. However, this is not a fully waterproof product. Ensure adequate ventilation in the installation area and avoid direct water spray or prolonged immersion. The coating will help prevent swelling and warping that can occur with standard MDF in humid conditions, but the product should not be used in areas of constant water contact or external applications.

Cutting, finishing and on-site handling
The profile is easy to cut to length using standard woodworking tools. Use a fine-toothed saw for clean cuts and support the material properly to prevent breakout at the edges. The smooth rounded edges are safe to handle, but take care when cutting as MDF dust is produced. Wear a dust mask when sawing. The primed surface is ready for decoration with paint or stain, though light sanding may be required between coats for a professional finish. Store the profile flat and dry on site to prevent warping, and keep it away from direct heat sources or damp conditions.

Limitations and maintenance
MDF is not as hard or durable as solid timber, so avoid heavy impact or rough handling on site. The moisture resistant coating extends the product's lifespan in humid environments but does not make it suitable for external use or areas subject to heavy water exposure. Once installed and decorated, maintain the profile by keeping it clean and dry. If damage occurs to the primed coating, touch up with appropriate paint to maintain moisture protection. Do not use this product in areas where it will be subject to direct sunlight, as fading may occur.
