This is a pre-primed MDF moulding profile with an ovolo (rounded) edge design. It suits both professional builders and serious DIY customers working on interior joinery, shelving, cabinetry, and decorative trim applications. The moisture-resistant treatment makes it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas where humidity levels are elevated. MDF provides a stable, splinter-free surface that machines and finishes cleanly.

Sizing and compatibility

The profile measures 70mm wide by 18mm thick, making it substantial enough for edge-banding shelves, framing display cases, or creating decorative wall features. The 5.49 metre length is supplied as a single continuous piece, so measure your project carefully to minimise waste. This width and thickness work well with standard 18mm sheet materials such as MDF boards and plywood.

Preparation and fixing

The profile arrives primed and ready to paint or stain. Before installation, check that the length is straight and undamaged. Cut to length using a fine-toothed saw to minimise chipping. Fix using wood adhesive, panel pins, or screws depending on your application; for shelving edges, PVA wood glue combined with panel pins provides a clean finish. Allow adhesive to cure fully before painting or staining. Sand lightly with fine-grit paper if required before finishing.

Pre-installation checks

Inspect the profile for any damage, warping, or dents before use. Ensure your project substrate is clean, dry, and flat. If the profile will be exposed to direct moisture (such as around a sink), confirm that the moisture-resistant treatment is adequate for your specific application. Store the profile flat in a dry environment until installation to prevent warping.
