Typical applications
This profile is ideal for finishing the base of walls in moisture-prone rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms and utility spaces. It can be used as skirting board, as a protective dado rail in high-traffic areas, or as decorative trim around door and window openings. The primed finish means it can be painted immediately after installation without additional surface preparation, saving time on site.

Installation and fixing
Fix the profile to walls or frames using cornice adhesive, panel pins or finish nails appropriate to the substrate. On plasterboard, use cavity fixings or locate studs where possible. On masonry, use masonry nails or adhesive suitable for damp environments. Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry and level before fixing. Mitred or butt joints should be sealed with flexible filler before painting to prevent moisture ingress at joints.

Limitations and maintenance
Although moisture resistant, this profile should not be used in areas of persistent standing water or direct water spray. It is not suitable for external use or unheated, unventilated spaces where condensation may accumulate. The primed surface protects the core but must be painted or sealed to maintain moisture resistance. Inspect joints and painted surfaces regularly; repaint if the finish becomes damaged or worn, particularly in high-moisture areas.

On-site handling and storage
Store the profile flat or upright in a dry, well-ventilated space on site. Avoid stacking heavy materials on top of the moulding, which may cause warping. Keep the product away from direct heat sources and damp areas during storage. Handle carefully to avoid damage to the primed surface. Allow the profile to acclimatise to room temperature and humidity for 24 hours before installation, particularly if delivered in cold or very dry conditions.
