  • Rebated back edge designed to sit securely on window frames
  • Moisture resistant MDF core resists warping and swelling

Compatibility and fixing

The rebated back edge is designed to fit onto standard window frames and sills. Before fixing, ensure your window frame is clean, dry, and level. The board should be fixed using appropriate adhesive and/or mechanical fixings suitable for MDF. Allow the primed surface to be fully accessible for any additional coats of paint or stain after installation.

  • Compatible with standard internal window frames
  • Rebated back edge provides positive location on the frame
  • Can be cut to length using standard woodworking tools
  • Ensure window frame is level before fixing

Pre-installation checks

Inspect the board for any damage before installation. Check that your window frame is clean, dry, and level using a spirit level. Measure your window opening carefully and plan any cuts needed. Allow the board to acclimatise to room temperature and humidity for 24 hours before fixing if it has been stored in a cold or very dry environment.

  • Check board for damage or defects on delivery
  • Ensure window frame is clean and level
  • Measure window opening accurately before cutting
  • Allow board to acclimatise to room conditions before fixing
