Fixing and buying guide
5.1MTR X 32 X 38MM PAR PREMIUM WHITE REDWOOD FIRE DOOR STOP
Selecting the right fire door stop
Fire door stops must match your door frame dimensions and installation requirements. This 32 x 38mm profile is a standard size for typical internal door frames. Measure your door frame width and height to confirm the length required. The 5.1 metre length allows for cutting to fit single or multiple door openings with minimal waste.
- Check door frame dimensions before ordering
- Confirm the profile (32 x 38mm) suits your frame rebate
- Calculate total length needed across all door openings
- Account for mitred corners at frame intersections
Fixing methods
Fire door stops are typically fixed using lost-head nails or screws into the door frame. The choice of fixings depends on the frame material and whether the stop will be painted or stained. Spacing of fixings should be regular to ensure the stop remains secure and maintains its fire safety function.
- Use lost-head nails or countersunk screws for fixing
- Space fixings at 300-400mm intervals along the length
- Ensure fixings are driven flush or countersunk to avoid obstruction
- Pre-drill screw holes to prevent splitting the redwood

This product is supplied as a single 5.1 metre length. Calculate your total requirement by measuring all door frame perimeters where fire door stops are needed. For a standard four-sided frame, you will need approximately 3.5-4 metres depending on frame size. Order additional lengths if installing multiple doors or if waste allowance is required.
