Typical applications
This 15mm plasterboard is ideal for non-load-bearing internal partition walls, lining existing masonry or timber walls, and suspended ceiling systems in domestic and light commercial buildings. The square edge profile makes it particularly suited to projects where you plan to tape and joint the joints or apply a skim coat finish. It performs well in standard internal environments with normal humidity levels.

Installation and fixing
Install boards with the square edges running horizontally or vertically depending on your framing layout. Ensure studs or joists are spaced at maximum 600mm centres for 15mm board to prevent sagging. Fix boards using drywall screws or nails at 150-200mm intervals around perimeters and 300mm intervals across intermediate supports. Leave a small gap at floor and ceiling level to allow for building movement. Stagger joints between adjacent boards to improve strength and reduce cracking.

Finishing and limitations
The square edges are designed for taping and jointing with joint compound and reinforcing tape, or for direct skimming with plaster. Multiple coats may be required for a smooth finish. Do not use this board in wet areas such as bathrooms or kitchens without appropriate moisture-resistant alternatives. The board is not suitable for external use or where it will be exposed to weather. Avoid installing in areas with sustained high humidity or temperature fluctuations.

On-site handling and storage
Store boards flat and horizontally on a level, dry surface to prevent warping and damage. Keep them protected from weather and moisture during transport and on site. Handle carefully to avoid crushing edges or creating dents that will be visible after finishing. Ensure the storage area is well-ventilated and maintains reasonable temperature and humidity levels. Damaged boards should not be used as they will compromise the finished surface quality.
