VELUX Centre-Pivot Roof Windows Pine 134x160cm GGL UK10 3070

What is included and glazing specification

The window comes complete with premium glazing as standard. The glass is safety laminated, toughened, and includes a UV filter. The glazing also features VELUX rain noise reduction technology to minimise sound during rainfall. A removable and cleanable ventilation filter is supplied to protect your home from dust and insects while allowing fresh air circulation.

  • Safety laminated and toughened glass
  • UV filter included
  • Rain noise reduction glazing
  • Removable ventilation filter
  • Pre-fitted brackets for blind installation

Operation and positioning

This centre-pivot window operates via a top control bar, which is the defining feature of the GGL range. You can open the control bar to a ventilation position to allow fresh air through a closed window, or fully open the sash by rotating it 180 degrees. The 180-degree rotation allows you to safely clean the outer glass from inside without needing external access. The top-operated design means you can position the window lower on the roof than traditional models, giving an excellent view whether standing or seated, and furniture can be placed directly underneath without obstruction.

  • Top control bar for easy operation
  • Ventilation position for fresh air without full opening
  • 180-degree rotation for internal cleaning of outer glass
  • Can be installed lower on the roof for better sightlines
  • Furniture placement underneath is not restricted

Sizing and compatibility

The UK10 size measures 134cm wide by 160cm tall and is designed for installation in pitched roofs. This is a standard VELUX roof window size. Before purchase, confirm that your roof opening or intended installation space accommodates these dimensions. The window frame is pine, which is suitable for most UK roof constructions. Check that your roof pitch is compatible with VELUX roof window installation requirements and that you have adequate structural support at the installation point.

  • Size: 134cm wide x 160cm tall
  • Pine frame finish
  • Designed for pitched roofs
  • Verify roof opening dimensions before ordering
  • Confirm roof pitch compatibility

Pre-installation checks and preparation

Before fitting, inspect the window for any damage in transit and check that all components are present, including the control bar, ventilation filter, and blind brackets. Ensure your roof structure is sound and that the installation opening is correctly sized and weatherproofed. You will need appropriate flashing kit for your roof type and tile profile. Have the window delivered to site close to the installation date to minimise storage time. If you are upgrading from an existing window, measure the current opening carefully and confirm the new window dimensions match or plan for any necessary structural adjustments.

  • Inspect for transit damage and check all components present
  • Verify roof structure is sound and opening is correctly sized
  • Obtain appropriate flashing kit for your roof type
  • Confirm tile profile compatibility
  • Measure existing opening if replacing an old window
