How and where to use guide

LPD White DX 30S Style 1981 x 686 x 44mm (27")

Suitable applications and locations

This internal door is designed for use within domestic properties where a period-style aesthetic is desired. The 30s panel design works well in period properties, traditional interiors, or contemporary schemes seeking vintage character. The door is suitable for standard internal doorways including bedrooms, living areas, and hallways. It is not suitable for external use or areas exposed to weather, moisture, or high humidity such as bathrooms or kitchens without additional protective measures.

  • Internal doorways only
  • Standard opening sizes around 1981 x 686mm
  • Period and traditional interior schemes
  • Domestic residential properties

Installation and trimming

The door can be trimmed on site to accommodate non-standard opening widths and heights, providing installation flexibility. Ensure the frame is square and plumb before hanging. The solid engineered core maintains structural integrity when trimmed, though excessive removal should be avoided. Allow the door to acclimatise to the room environment for 48 hours before final fitting to prevent warping.

  • Check frame is square and plumb before installation
  • Door can be trimmed to fit non-standard openings
  • Allow 48-hour acclimatisation period in the room
  • Use appropriate hinges and hardware for 44mm thickness

Finishing and maintenance

The door arrives primed and requires a final top coat of paint or stain to complete the finish and protect the surface. Apply paint or stain according to manufacturer instructions, ensuring adequate ventilation during drying. Once finished, maintain the door with regular dusting and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and direct water contact.

  • Apply final coat of paint or stain after delivery
  • Ensure good ventilation during finishing
  • Dust regularly and clean with damp cloth only
  • Protect from moisture and water splash

On-site handling and storage

Store the door flat or upright in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources before installation. Protect from moisture ingress during storage and transport. The solid engineered core provides durability during handling, but avoid dropping or impact damage. Keep the door in a horizontal position if storing flat to prevent warping.

  • Store in dry, ventilated conditions
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat
  • Protect from moisture during storage
  • Store flat to prevent warping if possible
