How and where to use guide

JV850SB Jedo Bari Knurled Satin Brass Lever On Rose T Bar Door Handle

Typical applications and installation

These handles are suitable for use on internal doors, external doors, and door pairs in homes, offices, and commercial buildings. Install one handle per door leaf, or use both handles as a pair on a double door set. The rose plate mounting system works with standard door preparation – ensure your door has correctly aligned 8mm spindle holes and the rose plate sits flush against the door face. The handles work with standard mortice latches and locks commonly used in UK residential and commercial construction.

  • Internal doors: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices
  • External doors: entrance doors, patio doors (where paired)
  • Commercial applications: office suites, retail units, hospitality venues
  • Compatible with standard mortice latches and euro-profile locks

Installation and on-site tips

Before fitting, check that your door spindle holes are correctly positioned and aligned. The rose plate should sit flush against the door surface with no gaps. Insert the spindle through the latch mechanism, then position both handles so the levers align horizontally. Secure the rose plates using the supplied fixings, ensuring they are tight but not over-tightened, which could crack the rose or strip the fixings. Test the handle action before final tightening to confirm smooth operation.

  • Verify spindle hole alignment before installation
  • Ensure rose plates sit flush with no gaps or rocking
  • Tighten fixings firmly but do not over-tighten
  • Test handle movement and latch engagement before completion

Maintenance and durability

The satin brass finish is designed to resist fingermarks and requires minimal maintenance. For routine cleaning, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If fingermarks or dust accumulate, use a slightly damp cloth followed by a dry cloth to restore appearance. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which may damage the satin finish. The knurled texture naturally resists dirt accumulation and maintains its grip properties over time. Check fixings periodically, particularly on high-traffic doors, and tighten if any slight movement develops.

  • Clean with soft, dry cloth – avoid abrasive cleaners
  • Use damp cloth only if necessary, then dry immediately
  • Check and tighten fixings on high-traffic doors periodically
  • Satin brass finish requires no special treatment or polishing

Limitations and considerations

These handles are designed for standard door applications with conventional mortice latches and spindle-operated locks. They are not suitable for doors with non-standard spindle spacing or specialist locking systems without adaptation. The satin brass finish, whilst durable, may show wear in extremely high-traffic commercial environments; consider usage patterns when specifying for public-facing applications. Ensure the door frame and latch are in good condition before installation, as handle performance depends on proper door alignment and latch function.

  • Requires standard 8mm spindle hole spacing
  • Not suitable for non-standard or specialist locking systems without modification
  • Door must be properly aligned and latch must function smoothly
  • High-traffic commercial use may show finish wear over extended periods
