Sizing and compatibility
This door is supplied at 1981mm height by 762mm width (78 inches by 30 inches), which is a standard UK internal door size. Before purchasing, measure your existing door opening or frame to confirm the dimensions match. The door is 44mm thick, which is the standard thickness for fire-rated doors and will fit standard UK door frames designed for FD30 doors. The door comes pre-drilled for three standard hinges, so check that your frame has corresponding hinge positions or is prepared for them. If your opening is a non-standard size or your frame is damaged, you may need to adjust the frame or consider a bespoke option.

What is included and pre-installation checks
You will receive one unfinished Oak Regency 4 Panel Raised Moulding Fire Door. The door is pre-drilled for three hinges but does not include hinges, handles, locks, or finishing materials. Before installation, inspect the door for any damage in transit, check that it is not warped or twisted by placing it on a flat surface, and ensure your frame is square, level, and the correct size. The door is unfinished, so plan to apply stain or paint after hanging if required by your design scheme. Allow adequate drying time if finishing on site before the door is used.
- Delivery includes one unfinished door only — hinges, handles, and locks are not supplied
- Inspect for transit damage and check the door is flat and not warped
- Confirm your frame is square, level, and the correct internal dimensions
- Plan finishing (staining or painting) before or after hanging, allowing drying time
Installation and finishing
The door is pre-drilled for three standard hinges, so fit your chosen hinges to the pre-drilled positions on the door edge, then hang the door in your frame using shims to ensure it is plumb and level. Once hung, check the door closes smoothly and the gaps around the frame are even. Because the door is unfinished, you can stain or paint it to match your interior. Apply finish to all surfaces, including edges and the back face, to protect the engineered oak and ensure even colour. Allow sufficient drying time between coats and before the door is put into regular use. Fit your chosen handle and locking hardware once finishing is complete.
- Fit hinges to the pre-drilled positions and hang the door using shims for plumb and level
- Check door closes smoothly with even gaps around the frame
- Apply stain or paint to all surfaces, including edges, for protection and appearance
- Allow adequate drying time before fitting hardware and using the door
