T500507-ST Ulti-MATE II PROFESSIONAL WOODSCREW POZISQUARE DOUBLE CSK Z & Y 5MM X 50MM - (10G) - 600 TUB
What this product is and who it is for
The Ulti-MATE II Professional Woodscrew is engineered for trade professionals and serious DIY users who demand reliability and performance. It is suitable for general woodworking, joinery, cabinet making, and construction applications where wood splitting and screw failure must be minimised. The absence of ribs on this size makes it particularly ideal for use with hinges, fittings, and hardware installation where a clean finish is required.
Key features and compatibility
This screw combines several advanced design features to ensure consistent, trouble-free installation. The pozisquare recess is self-centering and compatible with both Phillips (PH) and Pozidriv (PZ) drivers, offering flexibility on site. The state-of-the-art anti-camout recess prevents driver slip and bit damage during driving. The reinforced double angle head countersinks itself as it is driven, eliminating the need for pre-drilling in most softwoods. Zinc yellow plating provides corrosion resistance suitable for both interior and exterior use.

Sizing and pack contents
These screws are 5mm in diameter and 50mm in length, making them suitable for general purpose fastening in timber up to approximately 40mm thickness. The product is supplied in a 600-piece tub, providing excellent value for trade use and larger projects.
Pre-installation checks and preparation
Before use, ensure you have the correct driver bit for your chosen recess type (PH or PZ). For hardwoods or dense timbers, consider pre-drilling pilot holes to minimise splitting and reduce driving effort. Check that the screw length is appropriate for your application, allowing sufficient penetration into the base timber without breaking through. Inspect screws for any damage before use. Store in a dry environment to maintain the zinc plating integrity.
