Description

Premium redwood door lining is supplied planed all round (PAR) to a smooth, ready-to-use finish. The 27 x 144mm cross-section is the standard UK trade size for internal door frame linings, designed to sit flush against blockwork or stud walls and provide a neat rebate for door hanging. At 4.8 metres in length, this single length is suitable for most domestic doorway installations, though longer runs may require joining. The material is naturally stable and takes paint, stain, and varnish finishes without additional preparation.

Redwood is a softwood choice valued for its workability and appearance. It machines cleanly, holds fixings well, and resists minor knocks better than some lighter timbers. For best results, allow the timber to acclimatise to site conditions before installation, and use corrosion-resistant fixings (stainless steel or sherardised) to prevent staining. This product is suitable for interior use; exterior applications require additional protective treatment.
